About Foam Lifting
What is Polyurethane Foam?
It's a coating binder material formed by the reaction of an isocyanate with hydroxyl-containing substances (polyols) to produce an organic polymer compound known as a urethane
How does concrete lifting work?
- A pattern of small 5/8" holes is drilled into the sunken area.
- Polyurethane foam is pumped into the void and lifts the concrete with virtually no mess.
- Holes are patched and since the foam sets within minutes, the floor, slab, road, ect. can be returned to service almost immediately.
When using polyurethane foam, the mixed components are pumped into the void or soil, under the sunken slab and the expanding foam displaces air pockets, water, and the pressure from the expanding foam compacts the underlying soil and then lifts the slabs back to a more desired level condition.
